Notice Productions Shoots New Video;Releases All- Star Collaboration

Dancehall/Reggae producer turn artiste Unga of Notice Productions has teamed up with Road Block Films to shoot the video for this latest effort titled ‘Ain’t Gonna Leave You Girl’. A Reggae flavoured composition produced exclusively for the European market.

The video was shot throughout the thoroughfares of Kingston, St. Andrew and St. Thomas under the guidance of director Kirk Lee and his expected to make its official debut in approximately two weeks.Produced by Uptown Hooligans (UTH) the single sees the multifarious dreadlock pleading his devoted love for a female pursuit while promising never to depart from her warm embrace.

According to Unga, "There’re several major projects in the works for Unga, Notice Production, Further Notice and C-Sharp band. People can expect a lot of inspirational material with positive, inspirational messages to uplift the society but of course we have a few party tracks as well because music is about a balance and having fun.”

Meanwhile, Unga’s, ‘This Life’ remix with Future Fambo and star boy Mavado continues to enjoy favourable rotation worldwide with plans for a follow-up video. Notice Production is also responsible for several other projects including the ‘Red N Black’ compilation; the Soca influenced ‘Currant Rhythm’ and the newly released single ‘Party Animals’ featuring Ding Dong , Serani and Bugle. The single is also used by the trio as the closing number on their current ‘Skip To My Luu’ North American tour.

Ryno Launches Own Record Label

In a tough economic climate such as Jamaica, where recording artistes face a plethora of obstacles daily, including the challenges of consistency and relevance in a very competitive marketplace. This development is attributed as one of the new driving force behind several entertainers segueing into various types of entrepreneurial endeavours to sustaining future income.

For many it’s an avenue to spawn into other aspects of the industry as is the case with resurgent deejay Ryno (formerly known as Blak Ryno), the new chief executive officer of his own Garrison Records. Back from his Central American assignment the ‘Carpenter’ singer has been toying with the idea to form his own label since exiting his former camp but decided to make it official last week.

Ryno alluded to the fact that, “There are many aspects to music and you have to think beyond just being an artiste, at some point in time a new wave of young talent is going to take over. So creating my own label is just another way I intend to contribute positively to the development of the industry.”

“Making music is good, but as I have come to learn the industry is more about the business than the music itself and many artistes fail to recognize that.” – He added.

Besides himself, Ryno’s protégé Kaliba who is featured on the single ‘Say Dem A Friend’ will be the second official act on the label .

“The song with me and Kaliba is doing very well in the Caribbean and I plan to shoot a video for it, just look out for some great things from Garrison Records.” - Ryno revealed.

Since returning to island last week the Garrison C.E.O. has released his fifth single for the year titled ‘One Burner’ produced by Armz House Records on the Gully Stream Rhythm.
